The celebration of Saint Valentine is upon us and with Tampa being ranked in the top 25 romantic cities in the USA, you can be sure there are plenty of great deals and events happening around town for Valentine’s Day. Here are my recommendations on where to visit on Valentine’s Day in Tampa.

Valentine's Day Tampa

Cafe Hey: If Valentine’s Day is not your thing and you’re #ForeverAlone, hit up Cafe Hey on Franklin St. for their Anti-Valentine’s Day cupcakes. Memorable names such as Long Distance Relationship, Broke and Alone, Let’s Just Be Friends, and It’s Not You, It’s Me are on the menu. Cupcakes are 4 for $4 or 10 for $12. Hurry because orders must be placed by February 10th! Send orders to

Café Olé: Love music and dancing, in addition to great Spanish food? You’ll want to book a reservation for Cafe Ole’s Valentine’s Day Flamenco Show. Dinner is $49.95 and includes a 3-course meal, beverage, and live entertainment. To book a reservation dial 813-907-5242.

Ciro’s Speakeasy and Supper Club: The entire vibe of Ciro’s with it’s hidden location, dark black and red interior, and private booths certainly make Ciro’s one of my top choices for Valentine’s Day. The drinks are made right and the food is fantastic. Make sure you try the truffle popcorn. Call 813-251-0022 to make your reservation for their Sweet Heart Package.

Oxford Exchange: Looking for a truly unique Valentine’s Day experience? Oxford Exchange will be open for a special Valentine’s Day celebration that kicks off at 7PM on February 14th and includes a photo booth. The interior is simply beautiful and like nothing else in Tampa. Reservations cost $100 per guest and can be made at 813-302-7250.

Soobak: Last year I spent Valentine’s Day at Soobak and they made a fantastic dinner for their guests. Hanging out with the staff and chef in the kitchen was memorable. The restaurant is small, but in a way that’s better because it feels like a more personal experience. Dinner includes a 5-course meal and is $45 per person. Slots are available at 6PM and 8PM.  Call 813-258-3377 to make your reservation.

Wimauma: Wimauma offers fresh farm-to-table food at affordable prices and truly represents the essence of local. Run by a couple that puts all their heart into their business, I think Wimauma is certainly a product of love and is a great choice for Valentine’s Day. Call 813-498-0494 to make a reservation.
