Chef Chad Johnston from SideBern’s and Chef Eric Lackey from Flame Stone American Grill competed last week to determine who has the best steak-grilling skills in town in an event sponsored by Kingsford charcoal. Customers outside the Wal-Mart on North Dale Mabry Highway were able to sample steaks made by the chefs and then vote with their toothpick for the best steak. At the end of the match the victor was Flame Stone American Grill which captured the votes of many passerby customers. The event in Tampa was just one of many occurring around the country and 8 chef finalists will compete in New York on May 22nd.
Kingsford has provided me with some gear sporting their brand including hats, cup holders, and a sweater. You can look for an opportunity to win those soon on Carlos Eats.
